The 4th Annual Wings of Wayne was part of the NC Freedom Fest with Free Admission and featuring:
- Live Music
- Military Appreciation Awards
- Chicken Wing Cook-off
- Kids activities
- and more.
The event brings SJAFB and the community together in a downtown setting at 207 S. Center Street, Goldsboro, NC. The event is hosted by the Goldsboro Elks, a 501c non-profit with a history of support for worthy local causes including:
- The Kinston Veterans Home
- The Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition
- The Veterans Welcome Home program
- The Goldsboro PD Explorers
- The Salvation Army
- The Boys & Girls Club
- The Humane Society
- Drug Awareness Programs
- and Scholastic Scholarships
